Freya’s Story
The goddess of love, fertility and death in Norse mythology, Freya was said to travel the world in search of her lost husband, just like the Egyptian goddess Isis did.
This piece of old wood was discovered during a hike in the Bucegi Mountains on a snowy winter afternoon. Fresh bear foot tracks were nearby.
The Crafting Process
This piece of wood was not cut from a living tree. It was found dry, on the ground.
It needed cleaning, washing, brushing and sanding. It was also treated against harmful insects, pests and mold.
