The name comes from Lebraude which is a sort of large lizard or salamander with black and yellow skin, in French mythology. It breathes once per day, and anything that contacts its noxious exhalation dies instantly. Humans perish, livestock expires, and even trees and grass wither up.

This piece of wood was discovered during a hike in Apuseni Mountains, on the shores of Beliș-Fântânele Lake, close to where The Warm Someș River flows in. It was found inside an old fir and pine tree forest, where it had stayed hidden for who knows how long.

It was carried all the way inside the palm, because it matches perfectly with the inside of the palm, like a soft and light handle.

It was taken in a rainy summer day, with thunders and lightnings and all those marvellous works.

This fragment was not cut from a living tree. It was found already fallen.

The old wood needed cleaning, washing, brushing and sanding. It was also treated against harmful insects, pests and mold.
