Ganesha, also spelled Ganesh, also called Ganapati, elephant -headed Hindu god of beginnings, who is traditionally worshipped before any major enterprise and is the patron of intellectuals, bankers, scribes, and authors. His name means both “Lord of the People”.

This piece of pine tree wood was found close to Strunga Pass, in Bucegi Mountains. I came across this tree in a late autumn day with mild wind and clear sky, which made it possible for a great distance view. All was very quiet, except for a lonely raven, which seamed to speak words of wisdom.

This fragment was not cut from a living tree. It was found dry, in the mountains.

This piece of wood needed cleaning, washing, brushing and sanding.

It was also treated against harmful insects, pests and mold.
